Daniel Pendergrass

Daniel Pendergrass is a guitarist, composer, and recording artist with over 20 years of experience. Music has been an integral part his life from an early age. His studies have varied and have covered multiple instruments and styles of music. As an instructor, Daniel has over 10 years of experience, beginning while an undergraduate at the University of Redlands and continuing while pursuing graduate studies as a teaching assistant at the University of Southern California. After graduation he worked as a self-employed instructor in both group and one-on-one settings. Daniel uses an individualized, student-oriented method that places the goals of the student foremost from the very first lesson. Daniel’s experience affords him the ability to integrate instruction on a variety of facets, including proper technique, musical theory, and reading music notation, into the lesson while learning any song of the student’s choosing. Daniel has instructed individuals and classes of all age ranges and levels of play from the beginner at their very first lesson to advanced players at a college level. Styles that can be pursued include rock, pop, jazz, classical, blues, country, gospel, worship, and more. Instruments that can be studied are guitar (electric, acoustic steel-string, and classical nylon-string), bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, resonator guitar, and lap steel guitar.
